Ramona's Story

Ramona Wilson Markley, of Danville, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 4:18 a.m. June 6, 2017.
Ramona was born to the late Frances and Opal (Elliott) Wilson on July 28, 1928. She graduated from Georgetown High School, 1946.
She married LeRoy on Dec. 7, 1974. He passed away Feb. 19, 1998.
Ramona was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wilson. She is survived by son, Gary Simpson, Danville; daughter, Gale Simpson Hinote (Ron), Grafton, Ill.; grandson, Scotty (Andrea) Caudill, Centralia, Ill.; granddaughter, April (Jacob) Lane, Cibolo, Texas; three precious great-grandchildren, Emma Lane, Cory Caudill, and Maddux Lane.
She was "Mano" to her family and friends, a name her grandson, Scotty, gave her when he was quite little. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Ramona loved to shop, travel, go out to eat, and being with friends and family.
A visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at Sunset Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, Georgetown.
