Ralph Dale "Doc" Sullivan, D.C., 95, of Chrisman, formerly of Westville, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman.
He was born Ralph Dale Solomon on Jan. 7, 1922, in Sycamore, Ill., a son of Clyde Wilbur and Siri V. (Nilson) Solomon. He changed his name later in life to Sullivan.
He married Adele Scott on May 29, 1955. She preceded him in death April 12, 2002. He later married Gladys H. (Lynch) Shaw in 2003. She preceded him in death May 13, 2007.
He is survived by a sister, Denise Cozzi of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; a brother, Wayne A. Solomon of LaGrange, Ill.; and six nephews, Nicholas Cozzi, Stephen Cozzi, Gary Solomon, Loren Crites, Jeffrey Crites and Glenn Crites. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Crites and June Hastie.
Ralph was a doctor of chiropractic medicine. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He enjoyed playing golf.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Westville with Rev. Connie Tapp Bandy officiating.
