Ralph Douglas Jones, 69, of McLeansboro, passed away 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Marion VA Hospital in Marion.
As per Ralph's wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be interred next to his father in White County Garden of Memories in Carmi. Private family burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
He was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Bridgeport, the son of Clayton D. Jones and Thelma L. (Adams) Jones.
Ralph was disabled. Ralph loved to work with leather and made many beautiful items. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He is survived by one brother, Clayton D. Jones, Jr. and wife Sharon of Nixa, Mo.; one sister, Joy Welch of McLeansboro; several nieces and nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and one great-great-niece.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phyllis (Jones) Cantrell and her husband Kenneth Cantrell; and stepbrother, John Stewart.
Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of arrangements.
