Phyllis Roberta (McPherson) Tucker, 96, of Dahlgren, died 12:55 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Belle Rive, the daughter of Roy McPherson and Vivian (Randall) McPherson. She married Eudel Franklin Tucker Feb. 6, 1937, in Nashville; he preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Sue Wilkerson and husband Marvin of Dahlgren and Roberta June Eaton of Collinsville; one son-in-law, Gene Richards of Belle Rive; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Williamson and husband Tommy of Belle Rive; nine grandchildren, J.R. Wilkerson, Scott Wilkerson, Terry Wilkerson, Cheryl Eaton, William Eaton III, Elizabeth Turnbull, Jeff Richards, Monica Tinsley and Eudel Tucker III; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marcella Johnson of Streamwood and Marion Williams and husband Don of Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Carole Anne Richards; one son, Eudel Tucker, Jr.; two infant daughters, Phyllis Doreen Tucker and Alberta Jean Tucker; one son-in-law, William Eaton, Jr.; and one granddaughter, Felicia Ann Tucker. She loved gardening, playing cards, her flowers and sightseeing. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with Rev. Jeremy Hamson officiating. The visitation was held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. Burial was held at Sugar Camp Cemetery near Belle Rive. Memorials may be made to Sugar Camp Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home. Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren was in charge of all of the arrangements.
