Peggy Mae Lete, 90, of Westville, passed away at 9:44 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019, at her home.
She was born September 3, 1928, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Russell C. and Ann (Strebing) Ryan.
On June 30, 1956, she was united in marriage to Edward E. Lete until his passing.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Jerry Lete and Mark (Anna-Liza) Lete; her daughter, Cathy Lete; her grandchildren, Eli Lete, Goldie Mae Lete, Billy Hillard, Kayla Young and Dustin Blankenship; her great-grandchild, Dauson Lete Brooks; and her brothers, Dennis Ryan and Russell Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Elsie Ryan; her husband; her brothers, Robert, William, Jack, Jerry and Thomas; her sisters, Ruth, Joan and Arlene; and her stepsister, Myrna.
Peggy enjoyed going to St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a member, playing Bingo, gambling and watching her favorite television shows. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 231 N. State St., Westville, with Fr. Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Westville, 414 S. State St. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Danville.
