Paula Ewell, 74, found her legs and her wings during the early morning hours of October 4, 2017, following a lengthy illness.
Paula was born on the 13th day of July 1943 to Opal M. Campbell and Frank (Roger) Jones.
On January 27, 1968, she married Bobby John Ewell and they raised two sons together.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby, two sons, Jason Ewell of Danville and Shane (Tish) Foley of Oakwood. Also surviving is one stepson, Jeff Turvey of Fayetteville, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Laurie (Mike) Riley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Sean Foley of Danville, Robbi (Katherine) Foley of Chicago, and Jordyn Ewell of Danville; great-grandson Dex Foley; sisters, Yvonne Holden and June (Jim) Larson of Danville; sister-in-law, Mary Helen Jones; along with nieces and nephews and many good friends.
She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Roger "Butch" Jones.
Paula was a great mother and grandmother. She was a beautician for 25 years, and leased Vermilion Hills Bar & Restaurant for 13 years. She loved arts and crafts, and was an excellent cook.
Services for Paula will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 6, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville. Visitation will be 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Friday at Pape's. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery.
