DANVILLE - Patrick Leo Tranchant, 61, of Danville, Ill., passed away at 4:24 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at his home.
Patrick was born April 18, 1956, to John Raymond "Pete" and Catherine Ann Concannon Tranchant.
He married Cindy Heath on September 29, 1979, in Catlin Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lacy (Joshua) Young of Tolono, Ill.; one son, Chad (Lauren) Tranchant of Danville; three brothers, Raymond (Nicki) Tranchant of Virginia Beach, Va., Jimmy (Carol) Tranchant of Catlin, and Micheal (Patricia) Tranchant of Catlin; and four grandchildren, Alissa, Skylar and Alexxie Young, and Maisyn Tranchant. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Patrick graduated from Catlin High School in 1974. He then worked at Hyster and General Motors.
He enjoyed everything the outdoors had offer, hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed doing these things with family and friends, especially with his children, Lacy and Chad. He also would take a trip to Kentucky Lake every spring to fish with his brother Jimmy and best friend Randy Brown. He enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs as well as the Chicago Bears.
He was a very friendly and outgoing person who never knew a stranger and was known for his sense of humor. He never said a bad word about anybody and would have helped anyone who needed it, especially his family and friends. He loved and cared for his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. He will be sadly missed by all.
Memorial services: 10 a.m. Saturday, February 17, at Robison Chapel, Catlin, Ill., with Chaplin Chris Easton officiating. Burial in Jones Grove Cemetery, Catlin.
