Patrick Robert Leslie Gray, 40, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville, with Raymie Gordon officiating. There will be a visitation 4-6 p.m. before the memorial service.
Patrick was born in Danville on February 26, 1977, to Patrick Gray and Marisa (Giuliani) Owen.
He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Austin, Texas, in 2012. Patrick had a love of music, was an accomplished guitarist, and loved spending time playing music with his best friend Josh. Patrick had a natural talent for cooking, and was always trying out new recipes on his family and friends. His mom was his culinary hero, and he always strived to cook as well as she did. His talents were never more important than when his mother-in-law became ill, and his cooking was the only thing that tasted good.
Patrick was happiest when he was with both of his boys. Whether playing video games or camping during family vacations, the time they all spent together was when he was truly the happiest.
Patrick married Anne Wright on July 4, 2009.
He leaves behind his wife, Anne; father, Patrick (Deborah Kelson) Gray; mother, Marisa Owen; children Tyelen Gray and Elliott Calvin; sister, Leslie Phelps; brothers, Christian Gray and Adam Waldron; grandmother, Kathryn White; nieces and nephews, Alessandra (Beth), Jamie, Daniella, James and Ashton; uncles, Mike (Jessica) Gray, Gary (Nancy) Gray and Bob (Peggy) Dreher; mother-in-law, Cheryl Wright.
He was preceded by his grandparents Leslie and Fran Gray; stepfather, Chuck Owen; and great-grandparents Dorothy and Busey Giuliani.
Patrick will be greatly missed by everyone, especially his childhood friends and brothers Josh, Jake, Fred, Matt, Paul and Mark.
