Patty was a lifelong educator. Whether she was helping to raise and care for her five younger siblings, raising two rambunctious boys of her own, teaching a classroom full of elementary schoolers or taking care of her three grandchildren Patty was always imparting some kind of wisdom. Without fail, she always put the needs of others before herself. She was selfless, kind, clever and full of a boundless hope that helped her never lose sight of a brighter future.
When she wasn't caring for her loved ones, Patty was adventuring. Whether she was tooling around the backroads of Illinois or visiting the Sistine Chapel, Patty never lost her sense of adventure and wonder. Patty was a devout Catholic who always put her life in the hands of the Lord. Her family takes comfort in the fact that she's up in heaven now, probably enjoying her fifth cup of coffee of the day and chatting with the relatives who preceded her. Thank goodness coffee never gets cold in heaven.
The family would also like to thank everyone who has come forward with their love and support during this trying time. They ask that memorial donations be made in her name to the Georgetown Historical Society. Please send your donations to: Georgetown Historical Society, P.O. Box 14, Georgetown, IL, 61846.
