Nancy Ann Jackson, 63, of Danville, passed away at 2:59 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Nancy was born in Danville on July 28, 1954, the daughter of Harold and Clementine (Tina) Powell.
Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Rickgauer, Amanda Jenkins; one sister, Linda Calloway, who says Nancy was the Ethel to her Lucy; six grandchildren, Krista (Eddie) Reffett, Ashton (Taylor) Barbetta, Colby Reffett, Mayleen Jenkins, Sidney Jenkins, Abigail Jenkins; six great-grandchildren, Eddie Valdez Jr., Zoey Friend, Malcom Anderson, Gabriel Reffett, Javonni Reffett, Jaxson Reffett and one more on the way.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and brother David Powell.
Nancy was a very caring person, which was proven by her working nearly 10 years as a caregiver at Crosspoint as well as being a preschool teacher for many years. In her spare time, she could be found working on crossword puzzles or reading her favorite Stephen King novels.
Nancy devoted her life to taking care of everyone around her and for that she will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 27, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 26, at the funeral home.
