Fithian-Nancy J. Clem, 71, of rural Fithian, passed away at 5:33pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Memorial service will be at 2pm on Saturday, September 2, at Kirby Funeral Home, 708 S. Main Street, Homer.Pastor Dave Garver will officiate.Burial of cremated remains will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sidney.Visitation will be from 12-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.Cremation rites have been accorded.
Nancy was born October 1, 1945 in Urbana, the daughter of Edward and Mildred Dray Hahn.She married Melvin E. Clem on February 10, 1968 in Champaign.He survives.
Survivors also include son, Rick (Betsy) Clem of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Candy (Mark) Edwards of Danville, IL; son, Kelly (Holly) Clem of Muncie, IL; brother, John Hahn of Champaign, IL; sister, Mary (Don) Pittsley of Florida; and grandchildren Jason, Stephanie, Cody, Haley, Hunter, and Josey.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy was employed as a cashier at Willard Airport for over 25 years.She loved to knit, crochet, cross stitch, leather tooling, and watching hummingbirds.She enjoyed riding horses for pleasure and riding and running barrels.Nancy loved her family and enjoyed attending sports events of her grandchildren.
