Mildred Ida Johnson, 91, of McLeansboro, died 6:06 a.m. March 20, 2015, at McLeansboro Healthcare and Rehab Center. She was born Dec. 31, 1923, in Piopolis, the daughter of Otto and Louise (Anselment) Miller. She married William E. Johnson on April 9, 1947 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis; he preceded her in death Feb. 6, 2013. Mrs. Johnson is survived by four children, Karen Rapp and husband Michael, Marion Keith Johnson and wife Susan; Kathy S. Pryer and husband Charlie all of McLeansboro and Karol A. Bond and husband Greg of Villa Ridge, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Matthew Rapp and wife Bonnie, Justin Rapp and wife Melissa, Jared Pryer and wife Melissa, Christopher Johnson and wife Ashley, Anthony Johnson, Marcus and wife Ashley, Jordan and wife Laura, Landon Bond and Erika Lasater and husband Michael; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Miller of Mt. Vernon; and a sister-in-law, Tillie Miller. She was preceded by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers. She was a homemaker and worked at Ben Franklin in McLeansboro for several years. She was a quilter at St. Clements. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m Monday following the visitation at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro with Father Slawomir Ptak officiating. Burial will be at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Monday with Rosary at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Clements Catholic Church. Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, is in charge of all arrangements.
