Michael "Mike" Lee Rogers, 68, of Danville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon, Monday, Sept. 25, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville. Service will be at noon Monday at Pape's. Burial with honors will be at Danville National Cemetery.
Mike was born Sept. 15, 1949, in Danville to Conrad and Joyce (Cole) Rogers.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. After serving, he worked at Hill Packing Company, Cast & Roberts Lumber Company, Danville Civic Center and later retiring from the Family YMCA.
He enjoyed in helping and working with the rides at Douglas Park, enjoyed making model cars and carving. He spent a lot of time at the Kennekuk Park, and he has not missed going to the drag nationals in Brownsburg in about the last 35 years.
Survivors include his mother Joyce Rogers; brother Paul (Donna) Rogers; daughter Rishya Crystal (Ed) Dunn and their children Taylor, Kellsey, and Alexander (Spot); nephews and niece, Stephen (Debbie), James (Liya), David, Matthew, Elizabeth (Jeff) and Jonathan Rogers; great-nieces and great-nephews; long time girlfriend, Helen Mack, and her children Rex and Angel and special best buddy Conner.
Mike was married twice, with both preceding him in death. His father Conrad also preceded him.
