GEORGETOWN - Mary Alice Davis, 94, a longtime resident of Georgetown, Ill., passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Clermont Fla., where she was residing with her daughter, Beverly Ann Brooks.
Mrs. Davis was born May 12, 1923, to Russell L. and Etta Reed Parliament near Sidell, Ill.
She married Lloyd L. Davis on July 19, 1941, in Fairmount, Ill. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2005.
She also was preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles M., Robert D., and Russell L. Parliament.
Surviving are her children, Sandra Lou (Charles) Zimmerman of Bismarck, Ill., Leland Fay (Connie) Davis of Danville, Phillip R. (Andrea) Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., Gerald Lee (Francee) Davis of Georgetown, Beverly Ann (Pearce) Brooks of Clermont, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis, a lifelong resident in Vermilion County until recently, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cross-stitching, puzzles and playing cards. She and her husband owned and operated Davis Fertilizer & Grain and enjoyed traveling. They spent winters in Fort Myers, Fla., for over 25 years and traveled to Hawaii and Australia.
The family wishes to thank Visiting Angels and Cornerstone Hospice Services for their care.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Burial in Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation one hour prior to the services on Saturday at Robison Chapel. Online condolences at www.robisonchapel.com
