Martha A. Boland, 74, of Westville, passed away at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Gus and Josephine (Lesage) Delattre, both deceased.
She was united in marriage to Bobby Boland on June 24, 1966, in Westville, Ill., until his passing in 2011.
Those who will miss her include her daughter, Bobbi Dorene Boland of Westville, and several close friends. Her daughter, Nancy Jo Foster, preceded Martha in death.
Martha was a homemaker who later worked as a secretary for Groppi, McNamera, Underhill Law Offices until her retirement. She was member of the local book club. She loved her dogs, Sassy, Bailey and Maggie. She enjoyed reading, gardening, camping and fishing. She also was known to sit in her backyard and enjoy Nature. She loved going on weekend excursions wherever they might have led.
Martha cherished the time she spent with her friends and family.
A celebration of Martha's life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville. Visitation for family and friends will be noon-2 p.m. prior to her service Sunday at the funeral home. Per her wishes, Martha was cremated.
