WESTVILLE - Margaret VanVickle, 95, of Westville, beloved grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, in Louisville, Ky. She was born May 4, 1922, in Westville to George and Helen (Houdock) Lary. She was married to Paul Gogerty who passed away in 1956. Margaret later married Roland "Jerry" VanVickle who passed away Feb. 1, 2008. Survivors include one daughter, Kristine (John) Burke of Taylorsville, Ky.; one step-daughter, Sandra (Roger) Strean of Clearwater, Fla.; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Pam Hardesty; two grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.
Margaret retired from the accounting department at Lauhoff Grain Company in Danville after 37 years of service. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville and the Danville Elks Club.
Mass: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville, Father Timothy Sauppe to officiate. Burial in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Westville.
