Margaret M. Novick, 97, of Westville, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Presence USMC, Danville.
She was born in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Henry and Eva (Wilson) Miller on April 14, 1920.
She was united in marriage to John A. Novick on June 25, 1949, in Westville until his passing in 1998.
Margaret is survived by her children, John Novick of Fairmount, Judy Novick of Westville, Jackie (Mike) Moore of Georgetown and Jill (Jim) Beyers of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Cory Barton, John (Andrea) Novick, Ethan Novick, Natalie (Joey) Couch, Justin Beyers and Casi (Frank) Spencer; and her great-grandchildren, Rowan, Madison, Trenton, Brynn, Natalie, Nevin, Savanna, Olivia and Jody. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a grandson, Jody Barton.
Margaret graduated from Danville High School. She enjoyed 49 years of marriage to John and loved her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 51 of Westville.
Margaret was known to all as a kind and giving person, and that her family meant everything to her. She will be missed by all who loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 109 W. 7th St., Georgetown, with Father Deus officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to her service at the church. She will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Westville.
