Lisa's Story

Lisa Lynn Wood, 56, of Hoopeston, Ill., passed away at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her mother's home in Milford, Ill.
She was born September 18, 1961, in Watseka, Ill., the daughter of Robert and Johnaleen "Sue" (Mann) Kissack Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Johnaleen "Sue" Kissack of Milford; one daughter, Sarah Wood (Ashley Thompson) of Hoopeston; two sons, Aaron (Amber) Fell of Hoopeston, and Mathew Robert Kissack of Hoopeston; two sisters, Beth (Brian) Baker of Milford, and Amy (Danny) Wilken of Milford; and one brother, Robert (Pam) Kissack Jr. of Stockland, Ill. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Rilyn Fell and Colton Fell; three special nieces and nephews, Jaylyn Strawser, Madison Strawser and Traeyn Davis; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kissack Sr.; grandparents, George and Minnie Mann and Bud and Florence Kissack; one brother, Michael Kissack; one infant brother; one infant sister; and one nephew, Joshua Marcum.
Lisa had worked at Schumacher Electric, Dave's Electronics, and the VFW. She had also worked at the Hoopeston Nursing Home and been a daycare provider.
She attended Milford Christian Church. Lisa enjoyed sports, especially Illinois basketball. She also enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 20, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, Ill. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday November 21, at the funeral home with Rev. Neil Larimore officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mathew's college fund at MainSource Bank in Hoopeston.
