Lisa M. Johnson, 52, passed away Nov. 21, 2017, in Danville.
Lisa was born Dec. 5, 1964, to Patricia Ann and Qudella Johnson. As a youth, Lisa was a member and attended Allen Chapel. Later she united with Mason Temple COGIC. She then rededicated her life to the Lord, was baptized and began attending Philadelphia Baptist Church. Lisa loved to fellowship with various churches. If there was a church she would show up and was proud to say, "I went to church today!" She enjoyed talking on the phone, spending time with family, playing cards and shopping the latest trends.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Christy L. Johnson, Terisa A. Johnson both of Danville, and Latricia M. Johnson of Pesotum; four brothers, Charles V. Evans of Danville, Joseph E. (Ann) Johnson of Elkhart, Ind., Elmon Taylor of Danville, and John P. (Anna) Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; and two sisters, Patricia J.(Allen) Hatter and Ruth Bruce both of Danville. Along with 12 grandchildren.
Lisa was preceded in death with both her parents, one brother, Christopher M. Evans, and one grandson, Zyrell D. Johnson.
A Memorial Service will commence at noon, Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 East Williams Street, Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Eulogist: Pastor Courtney Watson. Service: Expeditor Pastor Thomas W. Miller.
