Lillie Myrtle Robbins, 85, passed away at her home Monday, November 27, 2017, with family by her side.
Lillie was born August 16, 1932, in Walker County, Ala., the daughter of Henry and Beulah (Stacks) Holley.
Lillie married the love of her life Charles Robbins on October 13, 1950, in Columbus, Miss. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2008.
Lillie leaves behind two daughters, Patti Edwards of Danville and Linda (Jerry) James of Sumiton, Ala.; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Robbins of Danville; three grandchildren, Joshua Edwards, Jeremy (Heather) Edwards and Michael (Marlane) Robbins; five great-grandchildren, Zachary Edwards, Benjamin Edwards, Whitney Robbins, Meia Edwards and Truxton Robbins; one sister, Vinnie Mae Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; two sisters; her son, Eddie Robbins; a son-in-law, Rex Edwards; and a granddaughter, Holly Joyce Robbins.
Lillie was a member of The Vermilion Valley Vineyard. She loved to quilt, deep sea fish, cook and travel. Lillie especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Lillie's Life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 1, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Officiating will be Jay Sorrell. Entombment will take place following the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will take place 4-8 p.m. Thursday, November 30, at the funeral home.
