Larry Dean Garrett, 57, of Covington, Ind., died at 4:35 p.m. EST Nov. 22, 2016, in St. Vincent Hospice of Indianapolis.
He was born March 21, 1959, at Holton, Kan., to William and Margaret (Brown) Garrett.
Larry was a 1977 graduate of Covington High School and a member of Stringtown Church of God. He had been employed at Danville Wal-Mart as a stock clerk and was a paper route carrier for the Commercial-News several years in Covington. He enjoyed playing Bingo and was a Boston Red Sox and Oakland Raiders fan.
He was married to Ilse M. (Peyton) Garrett in June of 2000 at Covington United Methodist Church and she survives. Other survivors include two stepdaughters, Ashley Peyton and Aisha Kahn; two sisters, Linda Kay Garrett of Covington and Judy Ann Garrett of Indianapolis; six step-grandchildren; and three step-greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. EST Saturday, Dec. 17, at Stringtown Church of God with a Memorial Service to begin at 1 p.m. EST. Pastor Keith Klossner will officiate. Cremation was chosen and Larry was inurned in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
