GEORGETOWN - Larry Joe Clore, 71, of Georgetown, formerly of Indianola, went to be with the Lord at 5:11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Larry was born Feb. 14, 1946, in Danville, to Fred and Josephine Collins Clore. He married Penny McCoy on June 6, 1965, in Georgetown. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Larry J. (Mandy) Clore Jr. of Indianola; one daughter, Shantell (Andrew) Buyno of Georgetown; two brothers, Fred Clore of Crawfordsville, Ind., and John Clore of Russellville, Ind.; two sisters, Gloria Raw of Indianapolis and Brenda (Dennis) McDaniel of Catlin; four grandchildren, Andrew T. Clore, Marley J. (Clore) Hilgendorf, Larry R. Clore and Trista K. Clore; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Terry Clore.
Larry worked at General Motors Central Foundry for 38 years. He was a lifetime member of the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed carpentry, riding in his antique convertible and going out to eat with his loving wife.
Funeral services noon on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene, 715 North Main Street, with Pastor Troy Horne officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola.
