PHOENIX, ARIZ. Larry S. Boyer, 61, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Danville, passed away Monday, Dec., 11, 2017, at 12:10 a.m.
He was the third child born of Fred S. and Marjorie (Jackson) Boyer. He attended Danville schools before entering the U.S. Marine Corp. as a heavy equipment mechanic, a job he performed after leaving the Corp. In 1979 he married Diane Wright and she survives, along with daughter, Deena Jo (Jason) Winchester, and grandchildren Gracie and Levi of Surprise, Ariz., and daughter, Stephanie Myers.
Also surviving are Cathy (Ed) Flannery of Fithian, Linda Boyer of Westville, and Laura Gilliland of Tuscon, Ariz.; one brother, Fred A. Boyer of Atwood; nieces and nephews, Scott Flannery of Mt. Zion, Neil Flannery of Danville, Lucas Boyer of River Falls, Wis., and Shana Myers of Tuscon, Ariz.; and great niece Lexi Hagan of Oakwood.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Tara Jo; nephews, Chad Hagan and C.J. Myers.
Larry loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time in his man cave and riding his Harley.
Upon special request he will be cremated with private family services at a later date.
