Kenton R. Hutson, 56, of Indianapolis and a native of Fountain County, passed away May 8, 2017, in his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Kenton was born Nov. 8, 1960, in Crawfordsville Ind., to Kenneth and Brenda (Cunningham) Hutson. They survive in Lafayette, Ind.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his wife, Davida (Sutherlin) of Indianapolis; a son, Levi (Kisha) Hutson; daughters, Jennifer Hutson and Lindsey (Mark) Franklin, all of Crawfordsville; grandchildren Caidence, Makenna, Graysen, Ada Hutson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kenton was a stellar Fountain Central High School athlete who declined college scholarship opportunities to pursue his passion for farming. In spite of his devotion to hard work, he found time to enjoy his family, boating, RV travel and college football.
He is remembered for his candor, fairness, determination, humor and great courage in the face of adversity.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. EDT Friday, May 12, at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, 9700 North State Road 55, Wingate, Ind., with funeral services at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 13, at the funeral home with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating. Burial will follow in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
