Kathryn Miller, 70, of Danville, passed away at 11:08 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, of Louisville, Ky.
She was born July 15, 1947, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Alva "Rocky" and Marjorie (Stine) Gore, both deceased.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Amber Schroeder) Miller of Louisville, Ky.; her grandchild, Korben Schroeder of Louisville, Ky.; her brother, David (Lee Anne) Gore of Cleveland, Ohio; her sister, Karen Schofield of Danville; her nieces, Kelly Petruna of Cleveland, Ohio, and Jennifer Gore of Cleveland, Ohio; her nephew, Mikel Davis of Champaign.
Kathryn prided herself as a "Heights Kid" and graduated from Danville High School. She then graduated from Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria, Ill., and worked in health care for 47 years.
She enjoyed watching "Masterpiece Theater" and the news and loved to read. She was very proud of her uncles who served in the military. Kathryn was a wonderful storyteller and entertained all who would listen and laugh with her. She will be missed by all who loved her.
A celebration of Kathryn's life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 16, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West St., Georgetown, with Pastor Andrew Martin officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville.
