Karla Jean Neff, 55, of Potomac, passed away peacefully at 3:41 a.m. Sunday March 4, 2018.
A memorial visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday March 6, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville. A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 7, at Pape's, with an additional visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Karla was born May 2, 1962, on a beautiful spring day. She married Mike Neff on December 2, 1989.
Karla is survived by her husband, Mike; parents Laurel and Donna Bodine; brothers Jim (Birgit) Wyatt, Shane (Mandy) Bodine and Laramie Bodine; sister Jody (Chris) Durbin; nephew Harry Bodine; nieces Libby Bodine, Frances Wyatt and Jordan Durbin; special cousins Rod (Kelli) Pierce and Chucky DeLattre; Aunt Barb (Chuck) DeLattre; and Uncle Larry (Becky) Neff; and many aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind so many friends, especially Lisa, Denise, Naomi, Tina and Amy.
Karla graduated from Catlin High School in 1980, and worked at Walgreens/GENPACT for over 28 years. She was dearly loved by so many friends and family. She was a hard worker all her life. She enjoyed life and loved to travel and especially loved her annual fishing trips to Reelfoot Lake with family and friends, most of the time she would out-fish them.
Karla fought a long, hard battle with cancer. Her family and friends were there with her through all of it. She had a very generous and loving heart. Being inspired by her sister, she ran her first 26.2 marathon in St. Louis. She was always having a good time on her runs.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cancer Treatment Center nurses and staff, and the ICU and 4th Floor comfort care unit for their care and love.
