Karen Arlene Catton 71 of Bluford passed 4/30/17 at 9:36 am at her home.

She was born July 9 1945in Wayne County to Homer and Eva (Headley) Legg. On September 28, 1963 she married James(Jim) Catton, who survives. She was employed at Bluford Grade School for 27 years and attended Orchardville Church. She was known for her overwhelming love of family and she shared that love through her cooking. The door was always open and so was her kitchen.

Survivors include her husband, 2 daughters - Twilla King of Wayne City and Tammy (Jeff) Hertenstein of Xenia. Family was the most important thing to Karen, and she was blessed with 5 grandchildren - Brent (Ashli) Legg of Fairfield, Logan (Becca) Hertenstein of Flora, Dylan Legg of St Louis, MO, Karisa Hertenstein of Edwardsville and Jaxon King of Wayne city. 3 great grandchildren - Liam and Jovie Legg of Fairfield and Amelia Hertenstein of Flora. 1 sister - Jane Bird of Fairfield, 3 brothers - Homer Legg of Fairfield, Art Legg of Barnhill and Larry Legg of Fairfield, 2 brothers in law Jerry Catton of Bluford and Larry Catton of McPherson KS

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services in honor of Karen Catton will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, May 4 at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial in Pin Oak Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
