Juanita's Story

Juanita Faye Foulks, 84, of Danville, was born on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1933, in Danville, to Warren and Edwarda Martin Foulks. Juanita attended Danville Schools until sophomore year. She was then home schooled by her mother.
Juanita loved her family and enjoyed attending family gatherings. She referred to her family as "my people." Juanita enjoyed music, dancing, cross-word puzzles, solving math problems, and playing Bingo. She loved telling the story of winning $100.00 playing Bingo.
Juanita loved getting dressed up! She was hardly ever seen without her nails painted, being draped in Jewelry accompanied by a new Perfume Fragrance.
Her favorite songs were Amazing Grace and Precious Lord.
Juanita Faye Foulks transitioned from this life April 14, 2017.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Freda Washington of High Point, N.C.; special nieces, Wardella Rouse, Roberta (Samuel Jr.) Crosby, and Christina Foster all of Danville; and several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carol D. Foulks; and a sister, Ivadale M. Foulks Foster.
A Celebration of Life will commence at 12 noon Monday, April 24, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 East Williams Street, Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Officiating Rev. Lucius Barber. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 East Williams Street, Danville, in charge of arrangements.
