JoAnn (Walker) Wyatt, age 85, of Chrisman, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Paris Community Hospital.
JoAnn was born May 9, 1931, in Danville, to Vern and Cecile (Froman) Walker. She married Earl Wyatt on Sept. 16, 1951 at Chrisman United Methodist Church. She and her husband farmed in the Chrisman area for many years and dedicated their lives to their children and grandchildren. JoAnn was a member of several clubs, including Priscilla Club, Household Science, United Methodist Women, and Buzzing Bees. She enjoyed gardening and home projects, and dearly loved her family.
She is survived by three children: Jan (Tim) Fonner of Chrisman, Judy (Bill) Beard of Decatur, Ill., and Philip (Lora) Wyatt of Chatham, Ill.; six grandchildren: Aaron (Melody) Fonner of Mahomet, Ill., Alissa (Jesse) Nixon of Grayslake, Ill., Wyatt Beard of Chicago, Meredith Beard of Gridley, Ill., and Hannah and Hollie Wyatt of Chatham, Ill.; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 2 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
