DANVILLE - James W. "Jimmy" Lockwood Jr., 62, of Danville, passed away at 11:41 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Jimmy was born October 20, 1955, in Danville, Ill., to James and Gloria Smith Lockwood Sr.
Survivors include his father; two sisters, Beth (Larry) Rodgers and Jimmy's twin, Jacquie (Richard) Prevette; three nieces, Heather Senteney, Elizabeth Stennett and Chelsea Kizer; a nephew, David Rodgers; his girlfriend, Chris Sigman, and her daughter, Peggy; as well as 11 great-nieces and five great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Jimmy's mother was a twin; Jimmy also was a twin, and his great-nieces are twins.
He worked for a time at the former Wolford Hotel in Danville, and later made his home there. He was also involved with Worksource for many years. Jimmy enjoyed playing electric guitar and acoustical music. He was a member of New Start Gospel Center.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Rev. Raymond Hallett and Ronnie Burgess will officiate. Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Westville. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Robison Chapel.
