Jerry Frey, 55, of McLeansboro, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He was born July 9, 1960, in McLeansboro, the son of Leland Joseph Frey and Nancy Lee (Womack) Frey. He is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Frey of Walnut Cove, N.C., and Erin Nettles and husband Josh of Yadkinville, N.C.; a son, Joshua Frey of Walnut Cove, N.C.; three grandchildren, Natalie, Caroline and Jaxson; a brother, Larry Frey and wife Dicie of King, N.C.; two sisters, Jean Dillon and husband John of King, N.C., and Cheryl Wilson and partner Ron Santore of Roberts, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Nancy Frey. He worked in construction. He attended St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 2699, McLeansboro. He loved gardening, listening to music and visiting with family and friends. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Father Slawomir Ptak officiating. The visitation was held 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. A prayer service was conducted at 7 p.m. Burial was at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in McLeansboro. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all of the arrangements.
