GEORGETOWN - Janice Lynn (Dixon) Raymer, 65, of Georgetown, passed away at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born Jan. 11, 1953, the daughter of Garnet Leach and Dave Shultz. She married Rebion L. Raymer on May 14, 1989. Janice is survived by her husband, Rebion Raymer; daughter, Nikki (Chad) Powell of Danville; son, Dusty Raymer of Georgetown; step-daughter, Mandi (Andrew) Healey of Kokomo, Ind.; sister, Maryl (Rick) Maxfield of Danville; brother, David Shultz of Joliet; grandchildren, Lexy Downs and Mason Powell of Danville; step-grandchildren, Kendred Tillotson, Taylen Tillotso, and Drew Healey of Kokomo, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and special people in her life, Kylie McMasters, William and Dylan Graves, and Sullivan Rolnicki. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father who raised her, Ward Dixon; sister, Phyllis Maxfield from Cayuga, Ind.; and brother, Bill Wilson from Charleston, S.C.
Janice was a graduate of Covington High School in 1971 and a licensed cosmetologist. She loved playing bingo, rummaging, and shopping. She also loved gardening, cooking, playing with her dogs, and spending time with family.
A celebration of Janice's life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Robison Chapel in Catlin with Phil Miller officiating. Burial in Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time on Monday at Robison Chapel. On-line condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
