STONE BLUFF, Ind. - Janet Sue (Kochell) Gust Pritchard, 69, Stone Bluff, passed away at her home at 9:33 a.m. EDT Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, surrounded by family following a two-year battle with cancer.
Janet was born in Tab, Ind., on Oct. 10, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Glen C. and Wilma (Haire) Kochell Sr. She was raised in the Mellott area and has lived for the past 51 years in Stone Bluff. She attended Richland Township School.
Janet formerly worked as a cook for the Covington Nursing Center. She later worked as a cook for the Vermilion County Jail in Danville until her retirement in 2015.
Janet had attended Stone Bluff United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She especially enjoyed her family, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind two sons, Anthony (Kyla) Pritchard, Mellott, and Richard (companion, Kelly Schreiber) Gust, Veedersburg; two daughters, Sherri (companion, Ralph Willett) Gust, Stone Bluff, and Ann Blankenbecker, Maryland; two sisters, Judy (Don) Payton, Veedersburg, and Barb (Walt) Wilson, Covington; a brother, Jim (Marilyn) Kochell, Kingman; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale, Glen "Bud" Jr. and Dick Kochell, along with three sisters, Frances Flynn, Jane Moudy and Marie Canine.
A private family service will be at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Daneen Rodriguez officiating.
