James Ray Warfield, 81, of Danville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Danville Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Pape Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating and military honors by American Legion Post 210. Visitation will be one hour prior. There will be no graveside rites following.
James was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Anderson County, Kentucky, to Frank and Hannah (McKinney) Warfield.
He attended school in Kentucky, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in July of 1955. Upon returning from the service, James was a barber for many years. He was a proud member of the American Veterans Association, the Disabled American Veterans and AARP.
James leaves behind many rich friendships and a sister, Marjorie Warfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his five other siblings.
