DANVILLE - James C. Donnelly, 61, of Danville, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
James was born Sept. 29, 1955 in Danville, the son of Leo "Gene" and Doris E. Sherman Donnelly.
He married Sheryl Moore on Feb. 16, 1991, in Danville. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, James Robert Donnelly and Steve (Michelle) Nolen Jr.; two daughters, Amy (Mike) Beck and Annette (J.P.) Cunningham; three brothers, John (Donna) Donnelly, Nelson (Gloria) Donnelly and Robert (Sabrina) Donnelly; a sister, Freda (Gary Wallace) Larsen; nine grandchildren, Courtney, Allison, Jocelynn, Cheyann, Chelsy, Sarah, Levi, Hunter and Jaxsen; a great-granddaughter, Ava Alexander; and a great-grand baby on the way.
James was a bricklayer for Salladay Masonry for 21 years. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Illini basketball. He loved watching his son dirt track race. James also enjoyed his trips to Florida and numerous trips to Branson, Mo.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. Monday at Robison Chapel in Catlin with Pastor Scott McCurdy officiating. Burial in Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Visitation: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Robison Chapel in Catlin.
