Hope's Story

Hope Riley, 86, of Veedersburg, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018. She was born at home in Fountain County on Sept. 26, 1931, to the late Gerald and Mildred (Keller) Perry.
Hope worked in home health care as an LPN for more than 30 years and owned and operated Riley's Concessions for 20 years. She enjoyed raising Himalayan cats, watching her hummingbirds, taking care of her garden and most of all she loved caring for people and her family.
Hope is survived by her son, Timothy (Brandi) Riley of Veedersburg; two daughters, LeeAnn (Charles) Robinson, of Covington, and Lori (Mark) Stover, of Martinsville; two brothers, Conrad (Peggy) Perry of Kingman, and Terry Perry; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special granddaughter, Rebekka and special niece, Alice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Riley; son, Thomas Birge; brother, Gerry; and three sisters, Margaret, Winnie and Jeri.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the service following at 2 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. 1st Street, in Kingman, with Daneen Rodriquez officiating. Burial will follow at Coopers Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association, 8604 Allisonville Rd Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
