Danville - Helen A. "Pat" Albea, 90, of Danville, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 7am at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville.
She was born August 29, 1928 in "Hawbuck" Danville, IL to Charles & Beulah Martin Spicer. Helen married Louis Albea May 27, 1959 in Danville, IL. He passed away September 18, 1970. Survivors include: 1 sister-in-law Irene Spicer, 2 brothers-in-law John (Marlene) Young, Jeff Leighty, and many nieces & nephews that she loved. Helen was preceded in death by 7 sisters & bother-in-laws: Evelyn (Harlan) Conley, Grace Spicer, Jacqueline ( John) Copas, Lucia (Wayne) Kirk, Betty Young, Nita (William) McCormack, Arlene Leighty. As well as 1 brother: Otto Spicer.
Helen attended Willow Springs School, and graduated Westville High School in 1946. She worked for General Electric for 42 years. She was a member of the Grape Creek Baptist Church, and enjoyed traveling, bowling, and spending time with family.
Funeral service 11am Wednesday at the Grape Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Leary to officiate. Burial will follow in the Walnut Corner Cemetery near Bismarck, IL. Visitation is from 10 am till 11am on Wednesday at the Grape Creek Baptist Church. The Robison Chapel in Catlin is handling service details. Memorials to the Grape Creek Baptist Church. My deepest sympathy to the family. Pat was a dear cousin-friend to my dad. He always loved a visit from Pat. May she rest in peace. Pat was a special lady to many.
