Harvey Grant Knight, 79, of Brownsburg, Ind., formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at his home.
He was born April 6, 1940, in Georgetown, the son of Luke and Esther (Clingan) Knight.
He was united in marriage to Regina Wade on April 11, 1981, in Oakwood, Ill. She will miss him dearly.
He also is survived by his son, Luke Knight; his daughters, Shelli Pettigrew, Kris Knight, Karla (Jeff Russell) Knight, Jill Tucker and Michelle (Andrew) Knight-King; his grandchildren, Shawna Blakney, Sara Paxton, Misti Knight, Michael Knight, Jessie Knight, Warren Richards, Kayla Knight, Nikkia Tucker, Tessa Wynn, ChiAnne Mosley, Jackson Adams, Rylynn Knight and Bentley King; his 21 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Marilyn Tuggle and Nancy (Wayne) Nickle. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Charles Tuggle.
Harvey worked for Quaker Oats for over 27 years and as a meat cutter for IGA stores.
He loved horses and attending horse shows, as well as fishing and hunting. He brought laughter and joy to those around him. He loved and cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandkids. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Harvey's life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Georgetown, 200 E. West St., with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Georgetown.
