87, West Lebanon, passed away at his home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 1:25 a.m.
Gerald was born at his parents home in Marshfield IN on May 7, 1930. He was the son of the late Clifford and Juanita (Chandler) Morgan. He was raised in rural Attica and graduated from Attica High School in 1947.
On April 4, 1953, Gerald married Martha E. Flint in Attica, IN.
Gerald was the owner of Morgan & Sons Dryer Service since 1970 and had previously owned Morgans Hardware in West Lebanon. He had worked at the Attica Ledger Tribune and Masters Equipment Service in Williamsport. Gerald was also a part-time farmer in Logan Township in Fountain County and Washington Township in Warren County.
Gerald really enjoyed decorating during the holidays, especially at Christmas time. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and mushroom hunting.
He leaves behind his wife, Martha of 64 years; his five children, Randy (Robin) Morgan, Sugar Grove, PA; Ronnie Morgan, West Lebanon; Mary Lou (Phil) Puetz, West Lafayette; Melody (Tim) Knerr, Torrance, CA and Marsha (Tom) Esau, West Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Joe) Archer, Kyle (Kristen) Morgan, Christina (Rick) Frink, Brett Puetz, James Knerr, William (Natalie) Esau and Brooke Puetz; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Richard Kincade, Attica and a very special niece, Sheryl Kincade. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Kincade and a grandson, Michael Morgan.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, Sept. 7th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 8th, at 11:00 a.m. with Guardian Angel Chaplain, Adam Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Williamsport.
