George “Bo” Rawls, 73, of Wayne City, died at 9:51 a.m. April 18, 2014, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Rawls was born Nov. 9, 1940, in Wayne County, the son of Frank and Daisy (Frazier) Rawls. He married Vera (Keen) Rawls; she survives in Wayne City. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Anita Marie Coombs of Wayne City, Christian Ann Clark and husband Bob of Jackson, Calif., and Vicki Bussy and husband Eric of Riverside, Calif; a brother, Rick Frank Rawls and wife Merriam of Bloomington, Calif.; two sisters, Deloris Barnes and husband Van of Jasper, Ga., and Barbara Bowlers and husband William of McLeansboro; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Rawls was a retired retired furniture businessman. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City with the Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Interment will be in Baltimore Cemetery near Wayne City. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
