Evelyn Wilson Collins, 88, of Princeton, Ind., formerly of McLeansboro, died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was a retired office secretary. She was born May 3, 1926, in Eldorado the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Ashby) Crawford. She was married to L. C. Collins, Jerry Vitotaskovic, and Billy Collins, who are all deceased. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include nephews, Edward Lewis of Eldorado and Chandra Lewis of McLeansboro along with several great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a daughter Aleta Wilson Krouse, a grandson Brandon Krouse, a brother Eugene Crawford and a sister Thelma Lewis. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Mike Fields officiating with burial in the IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23 until the time of service at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Gholson Funeral Home, McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
