On April 24, 2017, at 3:05 a.m., God called home a Sickle Cell fighting soldier at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Eric Todd Miles Sr. was born on June 30, 1960, in Danville to Littie Brandon Miles and Eddie Miles Sr.
On July 25, 1995, at the Brandon/Shelton Reunion, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Lana Vancamp.
Eric loved detailing his vehicles and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife; four sons, Eric (Kristin) Miles of Champaign, Michael (Dekeeta) Matthew of Lafayette, Ind., and Shane Whorrall and Brandon Miles, both of Danville; three daughters, Kimnesha Porter of Nashville, Tenn., and Shannon Whorrall and Brandi Miles both of Danville; brothers, Eddie (Carolyn) Miles Jr. of Troy, Ohio, Frankie (Phyllis) Miles, Larry (Gayle) Miles of Milwaukee, Wis., Reggie Miles and Raymond (Asia) Miles; sisters, Connie Williams and Valerie Miles both of Danville, and Teresa Parker of Fresno, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; special aunt and uncle, Lemmie and Bertha; special friends, Bedrina Williams, Minnie Walker, Warren Chestnut and Mitch Walker.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two brothers.
A Celebration of Life will commence at noon Saturday, April 29, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 311 N. Collett St., Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Officiating: Rev. Lucius Barber.
