Edwin Leon Perry, 94, of Kingman, Ind., passed away with family at his side Thursday, January 25, 2018, at The Waters of Covington.
Edwin was born in Cates, Ind., on November 6, 1923, to William P. and Minnie (Allen) Perry.
Edwin attended Kingman High School and proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan. Throughout the years, he cut and styled hair for over 50 years and owned Leon's Beauty Salon in Rockville, Bloomingdale and Perrysville.
He enjoyed life and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Perrysville American Legion Post 350.
Edwin is survived by two sisters, Mona Stonebraker and Connie Warnick, both of Kingman; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Holly, Cindy, Kandy and Melody; two great-nieces, Abby and Amber, who were always there for him during his illness; and special nephew, Billy.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Ted, Gerald, Farrell, Gene, and Ralph; and two sisters, Geneva and Maxine.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. EST Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st St., Kingman. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday, Feb. 1, at Coopers Chapel Cemetery with military rites and officiated by Pastor Rick Fay.
