Earl Robert Hood, 53, of Danville, passed away Wednesday March 1, 2017, at his home. Earl had been fighting cancer for several months.
He was born Aug. 31,1963, in Danville to Earl Hood and Rosemary Songer, both of Tilton.
He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Songer; three brothers, Orval Meeker, Timothy Hood, and Brian Bird; a sister, Rosemary Hardesty; four daughters, Ashley Hunt (Chris Mau), Brittany Richardson (Sean Richardson), Courtney Wheeler (Mikey Wheeler) and Rebecca Hood (Travis Follett); and 11 grandchildren.
Earl was a truck driver, ran his own construction business and was a musician. He loved to be outdoors and spend time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 13, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the funeral home. Earl will be laid to rest with family at Greenwood Cemetery in Tilton.
