WESTVILLE, Ill. - Donna J. Pollard, 79, of Westville and formerly of Dana, Ind., passed away at 11:30 p.m. CST Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill.
Donna was born May 30, 1938, in Muncie, Ill., the daughter of the late Raymond Leroy and Violet Emma (Farnum) Dolbee.
She married Morris C. Pollard on February 5, 1956, in Danville, Ill. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy (Bruce) Shaw of Kokomo, Ind., and Lori (Kevin) Roberts of Monticello, Ill.; two sons, Jim (Darla) Pollard and David (Ruth) Pollard both of Dana, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter on the way; two sisters, Betty Pate of Bismarck, Ill., and Pam (Jack) Freeman of Battle Ground, Ind.; and one brother, Roy (Dorothy) Dolbee of Catlin, Ill.
Donna was preceded in death by her infant son; one son, Tim Lee Pollard; and one brother, Bill Dolbee.
Donna was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Park Church of Christ in Tilton, Ill.
Donna formerly worked at General Electric in Danville, Ill., the former Covington Manor Nursing Home as a CNA, Hawthorn Inn as a dietary aide, and lastly as a sandwich artist at Subway in Georgetown, Ill.
She attended Westville High School and enjoyed watching the Food Network, sewing, gardening, shopping, traveling, playing board games, mushrooming, berry-picking, camping and watching ice skating. She especially enjoyed visiting with her family.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. EDT Friday, March 16, at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind. Officiating: Rev. Wade Martin. Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Ind. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. EDT Thursday, March 15, at the funeral home.
