PRESTON, Idaho - Donald Wayne Burrows, 83, of Preston, Idaho, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston.

He was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Villa Grove, Ill., the son of John Everett and Bessie Mae Brewer Burrows. He served his country in the Army during World War II.

He married Patricia June Yonker on April 20, 1917, in Phoenix, Ariz. Their marriage was later sealed in the Las Vegas Temple. The love of his life was owning and operating roller rinks. He owned rinks in Muncie, Watseka and Robinson, Ill., and Preston, Idaho. He was a "history buff," collected wishbones, and he made and sold many varieties of buttons. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 77.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Preston; two sons and one daughter, David "Skip" (Susan) Burrows of Las Vegas, Nev., Dale Wayne (Maddy) Burrows of Westfield, Ind., and Gayle (Garth) Porter of Preston; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, John E. (Mildred) Burrows Jr., of Catlin, Ill.; and his dog, Muffi.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, in the Preston Tenth Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W. in Preston, with Bishop Michael Andrus conducting. Friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family at
