Deon Allardin, 75, of McLeansboro, died 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at his home. He was born April 10, 1940, in Dale, the son of Hayden Paul Allardin and Amba (McGill) Allardin. He married Leta Marie Young on Oct. 21, 1961, in Corinth, Miss.; she survives in McLeansboro. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy Allardin and wife Cindy of Bandana, Ky., and Jeffery Allardin and wife Lori of Bloomington; a daughter, Chrissy Cockrum and husband Matt of Galatia; grandchildren, Kyle Allardin, Morgan DeMyer and husband Kevin, Dustin Allardin and wife Kyle, Dylan Cockrum and Hayden Cockrum; a great-grandson, Dessik Allardin; two sisters, Charlene Vaughan of McLeansboro and Joy Bebout of Washington, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a farmer. He attended New Salem Missionary Baptist Church serving as a member, deacon and trustee. He loved to coon hunt, fish, read, watch the Cardinals, play with the grandkids and travel, especially to Yellowstone. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Harl Cockrum officiating. The visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Harre Funeral Home. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted at Harre Funeral Home. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all of the arrangements.
