Dennis's Story

Dennis Lee Taylor, 64, of Covington, Ind., went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2018, at home with his family by his side after a lengthy illness.
He was born September 26, 1953, in Danville, Ill., the son of Lewis M. Cecil (Kirby) Taylor.
He married Janet L. Frink on November 20, 2015, at First Assembly of God in Covington. She survives.
Dennis is survived by wife, Janet; son, Zac (Jennifer) Taylor of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Madie Taylor, Parker Taylor and Chase Stull; two brothers; Larry (Connie) Taylor of Terre Haute, Ind., Robert (Lesley) Taylor Covington, Ind.; two sisters, Janice (Bill) Kovacic of Covington, Ind., Cindy (Dave) Denman of Waynetown, Ind.; two stepsons, Ryan (Becky) Stull of Covington, Ind., Christopher Stull of Lafayette, Ind.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, brother, Gary Taylor, and great-nephew, Laine Kovacic.
Dennis worked at Steel Grip in Covington for 35 years. He graduated from Covington High School in 1971. The true athlete, Dennis played football, basketball and baseball in school. He enjoyed playing golf with Bob and Brian Brewer, Brad Myrik, Doc Green and Bob Taylor.
Dennis and Janet were members of First Assembly of God in Covington. He also loved playing and singing music at Wallace Opry House.
A celebration of life memorial service for Dennis will be at 4 p.m. EST Monday, February 5, at First Assembly of God in Covington, Ind., with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating. Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. EST prior to the service. Per Dennis' wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington at a later date.
