DANVILLE - Deloris Champion, 97, passed away February 19, 2018, at Hawthorne Inn of Danville.
She was born November 30, 1920, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Edith (Johnson) Cook.
Deloris married Clarence Champion, and he preceded her in death February 13, 2018.
She is survived by sons, Ronald (Janice) Lee, Chris (Debbie) Mosher; daughter, Carol (Cloyd) Coon; grandchildren; Todd (Sonna) Lee, Tim (Dawn) Lee, Corey (Fay) Mosher, Regan (Chris) Rudolf, Amanda (Andrew) Healey; great-grandchildren, Katie, Brodie, Logan, Cameron, Parker, Noah, Harper, Kendyl, Hayden, Garrett, Kendred, Taylen and Drew.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert Cook; and sister, Clara D. Cook.
Deloris worked at Teepak for many years before her retirement.
She loved traveling, square dancing, spending time in her flower garden, participating in the cookie walk at church, baking, sewing and making crafts. She especially loved traveling to Branson, Mo.
A celebration of Deloris' life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, at Batestown United Methodist Church, 2224 Batestown Road, Danville, IL 61832, with Pastor Patti Wise officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
