Delores Marie Fratick, 79, of Georgetown, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana after battling many health issues the past two years.
Delores was born October 31, 1937, the daughter of Andrew "Happy" and Katherine Youhas.
She married Charles Fratick Jr. in 1954. He preceded her in death May 16, 2009. During their 55-year marriage, they enjoyed traveling together, dining out and attending festivals along the way. They were best of friends and enjoyed spending time together and with family.
Survivors include her son, Charlie Fratick of Georgetown, and daughter, Karen Gilbert of Golden, Colo. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Delores was a seamstress and employed at SteelGrip and Woolenwear and retired from there. She was a lifelong member of St. Isaac Jogues Church, where she was in the choir. Delores was a past Girl Scout troop leader and was extremely creative and enjoyed interior design, arts and antiquing. She had great love for her two Westies, Emma and Charlie, who were her constant companions.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 20, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 109 W, 7th St., Georgetown. Burial will be at a later date in Georgetown Cemetery.
